Kaia's birthday fell on a Monday. Thanks to Kaleb and Penny, it started at 4:00 am for mom, which gave me time to prepare the pink homemade cinnamon rolls and the birthday card door. Kaia sat with mom and day for awhile and admired the wall of photos, as Dad took us back through time, with the story of "7 years ago today, we were...". She blew out seven candles on her cinnamon rolls, with mom and dad, and then got ready for school. I snapped some photos of her, Michael, Hannah and Penny at school.
Later, we went to Gammy's house for "Uncle T Burgers" and a few gifts from Gammy and Gampy. She opened a gumball machine, some Bakugans, an IPod Docking system, a helmet and horn for her bike(that she refuses to ride because she doesn't think "it's a very good idea"), the timeless game of Guess Who, and a (used) ipod. We ended the night with chocolate cake. I never thought I would have a SEVEN year old. Especially one so phenomenal.
