Kaia invited us to join her at her 1st grade open house. Gammy met me, Gabby, and Penny at Mrs. Olmos' classroom, and took the colorful tour with us. Kaia proudly showed us her journals, book reports, and artwork. After the mingling and looking around, we walked over to Gabby's future kindergarten classroom to chat with Mrs. Riley. Gabby gave her a big hug and told her what 2 plus 2 equals. Later that night, Kaia realized she was really mad that Mrs Olmos didn't send home the more recent work that the class has been working on; "angry norweigan" came out. She ripped up a few of the projects that we brought home, cried a bit, then felt better... after warm cookies and cold milk.
