Tensions ran high this crisp morning in the Yonemoto house, on the Yonemoto drive-way and in the Yonemoto car on the way to the first early morning day back to school after the Christmas break. The two grouchiest, morning-hating children alive went medieval as they were faced with the reality of school. Two glass-cases of fiery emotion ramming into one another, while trying to fight their own diabolical demons.
"I FEEL ICKY!" "I'M NOT READY FOR THIS!" "I'M GONNA HAVE A BAD DAY!" "I DON'T HAVE A JACKET OR SHOES!" "I'M COLD!!"-Gabby
"I HATE SCHOOL!" "LEARNING IS TOO HARD!" "IT'S BORING!" "WAAAAAAAAH!"-Kaleb
In spite of all the tears, door slamming, name calling, and infantile behavior, Penny remained completely unaffected while she flittered about this toxic environment and hummed a merry tune. Kaia occasionally blurted out some unneccessary, know-it-all-comment directed towards Gabby, in regards to what Gabby was being lectured on, and that Kaia clearly had already figured out. This entire shit-show would have never ignited had Ms. Responsible not woken ME up at 7:00 (all be it an hour and a half too late), being that I was sleeping like the dead. I could've sworn it was 2 in the morning when she nudged me the first time. Then she says, "I can't believe I slept in until SEVEN! Can you set my alarm clock for five?".
God help Mrs. Frame and Ms. Foster. Those middles are going to bed at six tonight.
