After venting about Kaleb's foolish pride (more specifically, getting bent outta shape and sassing the principal), Penny's wise teacher reminded me,"...Well he has only been here five years.". It's easy to forget that they are really just little humans, trying to survive the only way they know how, as we try desperately to make them appear neat, tidy and polished so that they can make it in society. I'm not suggesting we let them run around and act like little A-holes all the time, but I think it behooves us and them to keep these words in mind when we respond to their humanness.
