Baby Food and Bow & Arrows

Benny says "Bloody Mole" with his eyes whenever he sees, hears, or smells food in his presence. He lunges for it and starts making raspberries and smacking his lips. He made his siblings breathless with giggles when he frantically yanked a straw out of my In and Out chocolate milk shake and held on to it for dear life, desperately trying to get it into his mouth.  Now, he enjoys pretty much any fruit or vegetable at the table, that is either too hard to break into peices and choke on, or is soft enough to mash between his gums. His favorites are avocado, pear, melon,  broccoli, and a good old apple or carrot on a rope (I tie a big carrot or apple to his chair with some butcher's twine).  He also loves egg yolks, and finger licks of homemade mac and cheese.  He most welcomes food, when it is served on mama's fingers.

We finally got out the new bow and arrows brought to Gabby from Santa and Dad taught her how to use it. She was darn good.

This chap likes to sit out back in his baby thing and get some fresh air. Never a dull moment in the backyard, between that chickens scurrying about, and Gene showing the kids how to operate a weapon.
