Saturday Lemonade and cupcake stand

As Gabby dwelled on the cost of the greatly coveted "Rock Tumbler", and how many actual chores she would need to save enough money for one, she decided to go another route-SALES!  We had a abundance of lemons from our lemon tree, so we squeezed and stirred. We made some Easter-decorated cupcakes and set out to take advantage of the free market.

She knocked on every door in the neighborhood, and gave her pitch to some, while others were either weren't home or just didn't want to deal with solicitation.  She finally made 2 sales and got some hefty tips, walking away with 2$.

Celebrating Auntie Carla's 50th Birthday

We left the babes with Auntie Sara and we headed out to Danville to attend Aunt Carla's 50th Birthday party.  We got to meet all of her and Uncle Omar's wonderful friends, and see some long-time friends that we hadn't seen in 15 years.  Uncle Omar put out quite a spread; the food and the company was excellent.

Jog-a-thon 2011

The big girls participated in their school jog-a-thon by raising money from their family for the school, and then running with their classmates.

All done. She had a cough, so I instructed her to only run one lap.

Kaia ran 8 or 9 laps in these sweats, and she never stopped! She had a smile on her face the whole time.

Saturday in April

We start the day with a little catch...

"Hey! I wanna pay football! Throw me duh ball!"

Can't play decent catch without the batter's helmet, sunglasses and a rainbow suspendered toolbelt.

Then we do Ford's burgers, the Sacramento Zoo, and Vick's Ice Cream.

March showers, bring April flowers!

Woody

Kaleb wears his Woody outfit (which is really just a cowboy costume) all the time now.  He couldn't believe we didn't support him wearing it to the Easter service at church.  He thinks it constitutes "dressing up", such as when the girls put on a princess dress.
