Penny rips my heart out

I am changing dying flowers out of a vase for new ones that we bought together, and Penny asks why the "dead ones" look so yucky. We talk about how when things die, they turn back into dirt. She looked displeased and I told her that our souls go to be together in Heaven. Her lower lip starts quivering and she look right in my eyes, with her little brown eyes, filled with salty tears. She struggles to say,"...But I don't want you to die and LEAVE ME!!!!!"
That's it. End of story. We are both balling.
I tell her about Grandma Annie and Abuelita, and how they get to be Grandmas and old ladies TOGETHER!! Then she proposed an idea. Maybe if she and I stop eating all of our strong food... We'll stay mommy and little guill forever...an idea so crazy...it just might work.

Gammy's house

Trio up north included a fashion show at neighbor Sandy's house, a swim date at the Reeves' house, some hang time at Dads at the Deli, Megan Sartz's baby shower, a sushi date to Kaizen and the usual pancakes and lounging shinanigans!

Kaia sketched at morning recess.

Penny decided that she infact DOES like "ahmpit shuhts" (armpit shirts, tank tops) now. She wore a fabulous black and white striped armpit shirt to wellspring.
Benny pointed and shook his head "yes" and "no", as he puttered around the house gettin into mischief.

I told Penny that my friend Robin was coming tomorrow to take some pictures of Benny. I walked away and Penny made this for Robin....I had ZERO to do with this.

Ok, Penny. If you are reading this as a big kid and you don't understand what all the fuss is about, you, my dear, are barely three years old, and you spelled half of the name "Robin" with no help or guidance from a grown-up. That's pretty weird.

Cousins!

We spent the day at Tia I's for some pool-BBQ-family time this past Sunday, when we were down south for J-Neg's shower. Kaia got to swim with her mermaid tail...it was magical. The kids were all over Cousin Shana in the pool. Kaleb nicknamed her "Shine-uh!".  Ava looked so cute stompin, saying "NO!, eating chips and kissing everyone. Benito Guerito was being a mama's boy, except when he was in the water
